Types and Usage
Qihai rubber LLC has 5 types of sponge rubber balls. They are used for different circumstance of cleaning equipments. A. Standard ball The standard balls are based on the regular balls that were peeled skin. So they are softer and more elastic than regular balls. Its surface is coarser, so it can remove dirty stuff easily. Standard balls are used in most condition that has no special requirements. We recommend continuing use these balls for fresh water and salt water. For most customers, the standard sponge ball is their first choice. Our standard balls have 5 kinds of different firmness. They are soft, mid-soft, medium, mid-firm, and firm. For new equipment, soft and mid-soft balls are the best choice. For equipments in routine process, select medium and mid-firm balls. If you need a little heavy duty, select the firm balls.
B. Regular balls The regular ball is the just balls those were taken out from the mold. If it was peeled the skin, it is the standard ball. So the regular has lower cost than standard ball. The regular ball can be used for routine process for most power plants. They are not harmful to equipments and can be used in variety cleaning tasks. And the regular sponge ball can work longer, so it can save money. Our regular balls have 5 kinds of different firmness. They are soft, mid-soft, medium, mid-firm, and firm. For new equipment, soft and mid-soft balls are the best choice. For equipments in routine process, select medium and mid-firm balls. If you need a little heavy duty, select the firm balls.
Plastic granule balls are formed with plastic granule on the surface. There is a tiny hole in each granule, so this ball can absorb water easier. The granule on the surface can help to remove some stuff stuck on the inner side of the condenser tube. So they are used in some very difficult case. If there are some blind corners in the tube, the plastic granule ball is the best choice. D. Ring carborundum coated balls E. Fully carborundum coated balls condenser tube there is something stuck on the inner surface and very difficult to remove, the carborundum-coated ball is the best choice.
But these balls can be harmful for soft tube. So they can ONLY be used in extremely difficult case, and they cannot be used continuously or very often. Never use them for new equipment, and never use them for brass tube and other soft tubes. Ring carborundum coated ball only has a ring-like carborundum on the ball, so it will be  recommended first for selection. For heavier duty, fully carborundum coated balls was recommended.
