Post 27 Why would anyone do this? If you want the pain to stop, don't do this. They could be in the best of health, but they are still in pain. I hate to see people doing this. It's not that they can't do it, it's just that it isn't the best way to go. You could get better for free, just not this way.

Post 26 The first time I took it (two times a day) caused me to cough up blood and have some difficulty breathing. I felt very sick and didn't know if I was going to wake up that morning, or even survive. That's how bad it was. I just wanted to get rid of it and stop feeling this way. I went in the ER and had it taken off me and sent home. I feel fine now.

Post 25 I've read that ibuprofen and aspirin can be taken before starting on Codeine-free medicine. However, there were some studies that showed just one dose of either drug before starting codeine resulted in an improvement symptoms. The studies only showed that when people stopped taking the ibuprofen first, codeine levels decreased faster. If you're still starting out with codeine and want to continue taking ibuprofen, consider waiting about three to four weeks before switching Codeine and see if that helps with the nausea. It is always best to be on the safe side.
